The street leads you to the inner wall of the city where you find the molten remains of a towering iron gate. The entire area appears to have been the site of a fierce battle. Everywhere you look, there are hundreds of charred bodies, melted iron and wood rendered to ash. Beyond the crumbled remains of the wall, you can see the Spire reaching into the clouds.

Climbing over the rubble pile here at the gate, you should be able to reach the Spire. Your only other option would be to continue up the street, toward your left, and head for the massive tree.
